The Specialty Hospital received the Primary Stroke Center Certification by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Stroke Association (ASA), becoming the first hospital in Jordan and from the leaders in the Middle East to receive this prestigious international accreditation.
The surveyors stressed on the high level of professionalism they found at the Specialty Hospital, and this achievement is the result of the hospital's continuous efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services for its patients in accordance with the highest international standards.
Given that stroke is the second cause of death and third cause of disability globally, the hospital's management decided to focus on this condition and raise community awareness. Noting that if the patient arrives at the hospital within three to four and a half hours from the onset of symptoms, there is a chance to treat the patient with (TPA) a thrombolytic or a “Clot Buster” drug, which increases the chances of full recovery or an improvement in recovery.
The hospital's management is committed to providing advanced and comprehensive medical services that rely on rapid and effective intervention to save patients' lives and improve their health outcomes, thereby strengthening the Specialty Hospital's position as a leading healthcare center in Jordan and the region. Moreover, it continues its mission to provide innovative medical services that make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to improving the quality of healthcare.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, General Manager of the Specialty Hospital, congratulated the hospital's staff on this achievement, stressing that collective efforts have played an important role in accomplishing the hospital's achievements from international and national certificates in quality and patient care.
