Nephrology is one of the different subspecialties in the section of internal medicine at the Specialty Hospital. The section has a multidisciplinary team devoted to patient care on the short and long terms. The nephrology section is also responsible for the care of patients attending the dialysis unit, which was inaugurated by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah in 2000the unit has more than 20 dialysis machines with over 50 patients undergoing hemodialysis daily.
The section is also concerned with the comprehensive supervision of kidney transplant surgeries by a specialized team for kidney transplantation, with high success rates.
